Description:

John Harker of Knottingley's 1958 built coastal tanker KINGSDALE H. is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 18th May 1970. She was sold in 1974 and subsequently wrecked at Foynes.

Bit more digging, in 1978/79LR owner given as South Ocean Services, which explains the 'S' on the funnel, not Southern T&B as suspected earlier

1981-1989 operated at Coleraine as sludge tanker

Malcolm, In 1979 she was working in the Southampton area, I think for Southern Tankers & Bumkering. I have a photo of her taken in Jan 1979. My notes suggest she later went to W. J. McCartney & Son of Coleraine, then to Zansworth Ltd. and in August 1999 was lying off Pounds Yard at Portsmouth.
