Sold to Chile in Dec 2019 along with HMAS Newcastle for $45M AuD each + $20M for stores, data & training. Phalanx CIWS removed before sale. Commissioned into Chilean Navy on 15 April at HMAS Watson Naval Base. According to ABC news sources, sale has been conducted quietly to avoid possible negative reaction in Chile over recent cuts to public services in that country.
