Description:

CITY OF LONDON, built at Selby in 1971 as SURREYBROOK for Comben Longstaff, had been allowed to berth in Marseille harbour in distress on 15th January 1999 but was abandoned and became an annoyance to Marseille's port authority.

Here she was photographed on 13th January 2001 at the end of the Dique du Large where she stayed, a forgotten and unwanted ship, until she was towed away to Aliaga where she was beached on 12th September 2003 for breaking.
