Description:

Departing Sydney on one of her many cruises during the 1980,s late afternoon in her heyday, storm approaching. 35mm negative restored. She became one of the most popular cruise ships in australia competing with Fairstar. (Just as popular) Can not count the number of times I went to my favorite locations to watch her sail.
Deemed surplus to P&O's requirements in early 1986, she was sold to become a floating hotel and tourist attraction, first in Japan and later in China. As a result of damage sustained from a severe storm whilst in the port of Dalian in 2004, Oriana was finally sold to local breakers in 2005.

Clive, Brett and Axel, thank you for your comments. Great ship I spent literally hours photographing her. Axel not sure her super structure was ever changed.

She was in my opinion an odd looking ship with great lines but decks above boat deck upwards looks she was several times refit but we see her here as built.
