Description:

An overview of cargo operations in Cochin, with an unidentified liberty ship discharging in late 1965.
She appears to have a bulk cargo of grain as bales of gunny sacks can be seen on the quayside by way of #3 hatch ready for loading while a sling of bagged cargo can be seen coming ashore from #4 hatch.
The cargo is being bagged on board prior to discharge.
Identification of the ship may be possible..... she has a red 'Y' on her funnel.

I think it unlikely that she had come all the way from North America with a cargo of grain and that it is more likely that she was lightening larger ships offshore. I recall that this was happening in the Goa area at about that time.
