The ferries SPIRIT OF TASMANIA I and SPIRIT OF TASMANIA II operate daily (usually overnight) on the Bass Strait service between Melbourne and Devonport. Both ferries have been operating on this service for 19 years. An investigation into building replacement vessels has been instigated.
