Description:

1,777 grt; 2,793 dwt. Operator: Central Electricity Generating Board, London. Built: 1960 by Hall, Russell & Co Ltd, Aberdeen. Yard no. 819. Main engine: eight-cylinder, two-stroke British Polar M48M of 1,180 bhp at 300 rpm. Speed: 11 knots. Built as ‘’flatiron’’ low-air draught sea-river collier. 1966-converted for laying power cables across English Channel. 1982-converted back to general cargo ship and renamed DAME CAROLINE. 1984-to breakers at Middlesbrough.
