The 1952 Hawthorn Leslie, Hebburn, built tanker TERRY, operated by the London based, Greek owned, Southern Shipping and Finance Co Ltd., is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth for Rotterdam exactly fifty years ago today, on 28th April 1972.

Built as TYNEFIELD for Northern Petroleum Tank S.S. Co. Ltd. (Hunting) of Newcastle, she remained at Rotterdam for several months before sailing for Valencia where she arrived on 2nd December 1972 for breaking.
