Outer: Royal Navy's Type 42 (Sheffield-class) destroyer HMS Coventry (D118)
Built by Cammell Laird & Co. Ltd., Birkenhead
Commissioned 10th November 1978; sunk by Argentinian aircraft in Falkland Sound, 25 May 1982
Inner: Royal Fleet Auxiliary's Ness-class fleet stores ship RFA “Stromness” (A344)
Built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd, Wallsend
Taken into Service 30 March 1967; sold January 1983 to US Navy, operated by Military Sealift Command as USNS “Saturn” (T-AFS-10); deactivated 6 April 2009; sunk as a target 27 October 2010.
