Federal Steam Navigation's 1949 John Brown, Clydebank, built SUSSEX is seen in the River Mersey approaching Langton lock, Liverpool, on 2nd September 1972, exactly fifty years ago today. She had arrived from Newport to complete loading for Dunedin.
SUSSEX finally arrived at Hong Kong on 15th December 1976 for breaking.
