Description:

She was one of I think,3 283000dwt VLCCs built in Japan in 1973 for Sigval Bergesen. Her sisters were BERGE DUKE and BERGE PRINCE.
With the allover green with white funnel she and her contemporaries were very distinctive.
These shots were taken at Fawley on Southampton Water in 1979.

No, I don/t think you are as you say,Bergesen called the 7th SEPTIMUS. She berthed beside us on North Sea Ferries' NORLAND in Europoort in 1974 incidentally- quite a sight! Did LORD, DUKE and PRINCE not come in one batch and the others were in a different one. 8-)

If i am not mistaken the seven sisters where buildt in tree years. Does not septimus mean seven in latin?
