U.S. registered LNG AQUARIUS is here seen on Singapore roads in november 1991. The vessel carry the funnelmark of Burmah Oil Co, as she was on a long-term charter to a subsidiary company.
She was built 1977 at General Dynamics Corp, Quincy, Mass. as one of 12 similar vessels to be built there, but if all were built, I don't know. When delivered, the vessel was quite advanced, she was designed for a speed of 20 knots, and would be able to discharge all cargo in 12 hours.
With various owners, she has kept her original name up to this date. In 2000 she was transferred to Marshall Islands registry, and in 2012 she became Indonesian-flagged.
It looks like she now is laid-up outside Jakarta.
