This one (ex AMERICAN MAINE), SEA-LAND PRIDE (ex GALVESTON BAY) and SEA-LAND MOTIVATOR (ex RALEIGH BAY) were shortened by 28 meters at Blohm+Voss, Hamburg. With a modified bow and engine (addition of a diesel generator to the gear box) the speed increased from 18 to 21 kn.
