Description:

This photo shows one of the more exotic CP ships, the 107000 DWT Fort Douglas, built by IHI at Kure in 1968 as Sidney Spiro. She was one of the largest obo's of her time. She is shown here during 1980 discharging grain at the former Botlek terminal of the GEM. She traded less than a year for CP, and was then taken over by Korean Pan Ocean, and renamed Daeyang Glory, until she was scrapped in 1992. Since 1981 she had been trading as bulk carrier only.
