Description:

Furness, Withy & Co Ltd's 1964 Burntisland built NEWFOUNDLAND berthed at Cardiff exactly fifty years ago today, on 31st March 1973 during a voyage from Philadelphia and Savannah to Manchester. Later in 1973, she was transferred to Shaw, Savill & Albion, sailing from Liverpool on 7 November as CUFIC, bound for Auckland.

Later: 1974 NEWFOUNDLAND - 76 CUFIC - 77 GAIETY

As GAIETY, although photographed at Singapore in March 1983, she largely traded around the coast of China and was broken up at Shanghai in 1986
