Description:

31/03/2023, Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Islas Canarias, Spain.

An 84 metres long, self-propelled, offshore accommodation barge, with a SWATH hull.

A total of 501 persons can be accommodated on board.

It is fitted with a W2W (Walk to Work) active heave compensated gangway, which is intended to give safe access to offshore structures, to increase access during bad weather to platforms both in the wind, oil and gas industry.
Additionally, it is a safer environment to live on than an oil or gas rig, and can be sailed away from the rig when not required, and used as an emergency rescue vessel if the unthinkable should occur.

Built in 2010 by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, Mawei, China.
3,300 dwt.

Propulsion is powered by 6 x 2800 kW Rolls Royce Bergen diesel generators, which supply the electrical requirements for 4 x 3000 kW, Rolls Royce US 305FP/4100, 360 deg Azimuth pods, for 10.5 knots maximum speed.
