Description:
13/03/2023, Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Islas Canarias, Spain.
On my arrival at the port that evening, I found two deep sea tugs being manoeuvred, with the help of local Boluda tugs, in order for the Italian tug 'Eraclea' to depart first and reconnect her tow.
Both tugs had called for bunkers and stores.
American tug 'Michele Foss' and her barge, 'Marmac 400'.
'Eraclea' and her barge, 'Foss Prevailing Wind'.
Michele Foss had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, & bunkered at Ponta Delgada, Azores.
She sailed for the Churchilldok, Antwerp, Belgium, where the 'Foss Prevailing Wind' (and the 'Marmac 400) will undergo conversion to carry offshore wind components.
'Michele Foss' details:
Keel laid on 30/04/2013, launched on 11/11/2014, and completed at the shipyard on 06/05/2015, by Foss Maritime, Rainier, Washington, USA (20)
714 g.t., 1,295 dwt., and 110 tons bollard pull, as:
'Michele Foss'.
