Translated bit
'Built at Levingstone Shipbuilding Co. Orange, Texas, launched 17/11/42, commissioned into the U.S. Navy 10/6/43 as USS 122 ATA, decommissioned 5/8/46. Transferred to the Chilean Navy on 2/1/48 as Aviso 62 Lautaro, conducting 7 Antarctic campaigns. In 1955 she escorted the frigate Montevideo with damage through the Strait of Magellan. On 17/5/91 it was acquired by the National Navy and renamed ROU 22 San José in the port of Talcahuano. She sails from that port on 14/6/91 arriving in Montevideo on 11/7 with stops in Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas. Immediately after arriving she is enlisted to sail in support of the ROU Pedro Campbell that towed the Mossdock floating dock from South Africa to La Paloma, when they were 1200 nautical miles away. On 25/1/93 she was decommissioned, transferred to the Fray Bentos Fishing Club, taken to Argentina for scrapping.'

Quite a few features are a match for a Sotoyomo class tugboat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sotoyomo-class_tugboat#
Second of class ATA 122 is a possibility out of the small number that went to South America.

Getting closer, http://www.navsource.org/archives/09/40/094004701.jpg
Chile had 2, both stricken in 1991, at least one seems to have been 'sold commercial' to Uruguay. The pair were Lautaro ex ATA-122 and Lientur ex ATA-177

Hi,
On this older pic https://mapio.net/images-p/905843.jpg , the call sign painted on the wing seems to be C W B D.
Since 2022, this callsign is given to the Uruguyan Naval tug MALDONADO.
I cannot find which ship it was previously attribued (before 2022.
Regards,
Yvon
