Several Iranian vessels were damaged or lost during the conficts with Iraq. Examples of casualties in 1980 were IRAN GHEYAM, IRAN BADR and IRAN BAHR, all at Khorramshahr on 5th October, but IRAN SEEYAM not until at least 1985.

"The most important and largest of them that sank during the war include Songbong ship near Khark Island, and four ships Rafale, Iran Seeyam, Iran Rashadat and Sea Delight in the waters of Bushehr port, these five ships are still in Bushehr waters."

Son Bong (IMO 7112826) had arrived at Sea Island terminal, Kharg Island, on about 19.9.85 and was loading crude oil when struck by a missile and sank
Raffaello (IMO 5289106) - on 21.11.1982, damaged by an Iraqi missile at Bushire, capsized and scuttled offshore
Iran Seeyam (IMO 7362835) - must have been bombed after 10th May 1985, the date when she arrived at Bandar Abbas , having subsequently moved to Bushire
Iran Reshadat (IMO 6618433): on 24.8.1983, whilst on a voyage from Yokohama to Bushire, was struck by a missile off Bandar Khomeini. Superstructure, accommodation and engine room badly damaged. One crew member died of a heart attack. Vessel was taken to Bushire for discharge for damage assessment and subsequently hulked.
Sea Delight - I can find no trace of this ship

Online references found in Farsi (Iranian language) that during the second Gulf War the vessel was damaged (bombed, I assume), caught fire & went aground, subsequently wrecked on 06/06/1980, near Bushehr, Iran.

With this beautiful photo, B-41 general cargo ship series at shipspotting is now complete:

As a non-photographer, I just remember the advice abour prasing those, who are:
'Great picture! You must be using good camera!' is equally awkward, like saying to a chef:
'Very tasty! You must be using good pots!' ;-)
Many thanks to all talented contributors!
