Description:
Greek passenger ferry IKARUS is here seen during docking in Bergen in December 1997.
She was built at Fosen Verft, Rissa (outside Trondheim) with hull coming from Landskrona, Sweden.
She is here docked to do the last finish on her hull before delivery to her Greek owners later in December 1997. Bergen was the nearest place to Fosen who had floating dock which could accomodate large vessels.
In 2001 IKARUS was renamed IKARUS PALACE, and in 2016 she was sold to Italy and renamed CRUISE SMERALDA.
