It was a beautiful 8 days for the crew. I remember those times. Ships often stayed in ports for several days or even longer. The crews had time to rest, have fun and visit beautiful places. Today it is a different world, different ships, different people, different priorities. Is it better? For most people, yes. Retired sailors like me and my friends will always remember the good old days. We were young, healthy, full of energy.
