Alberto Ravano of Genoa's 1943 Wilmington, North Carolina, built EC2-S-C1 type "Liberty Ship" passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth exactly sixty years ago today, on 5th April 1964 with a cargo of grain loaded at Baltimore. She subsequently sailed from Avonmouth in ballast, bound for Montreal, on 16th April.
