The now veteran Trent class RNLI lifeboat Blue Peter VII participating in the RNLI's 175th anniversary sail past at Poole on 23 June 1999. This boat along with several others in the RNLI fleet was funded by an appeal which was launched by the BBC children's television show Blue Peter and has been on station for the past thirty years at Fishguard in South Wales. The RNLI's 200th anniversary sail past will be taking place at Poole in just three days time on Sunday 19 May.
