IRISH OAK in joint United States and Canadian Great Lakes waters during the 1950s

One of a pair built by John Readhead at South Shields in 1949 for Irish Shipping Limited of Dublin, she was sold to Fafalios in 1967 to trade as ALKYON.

Later: 1976: VEGAS
wrecked on 13.8.79 near Jeddah on voyage from Piraeus to Vietnam
arrived Gadani Beach on 29.1.80 for breaking
