Very beautiful shot!

Transliteration on those name boards of Soviet/Russian/Ukrainian vessels is incorrect sometimes. Й is Y.

Dear Frits, the translation into English of the names of Soviet/Russian/Ukrainian ships is problematic. Quite often, as in this case with VALDAILES, the spelling on the ship's nameboard differs from that used by Lloyd's etc. Please note that the spelling used by www.fleetphoto.ru is VALDAYLES:

Courage
Valdayles 6417384 Беломорсклес, проект B-45 (ПНР) type, B-45-II design 03.06.1964 Valletta

Many thanks Aleksi. The spelling of her name as VALDAYLES is consistent with that used for the other photos of her on this website.
