Launched 1951 as *Irmingard* at Emden by Nordseewerke Emden GmbH, hull no. 242, for Kohlen-Import und Poseidon Schiffahrt AG, Nordenham. 91.2m x 14.45 x 6.60; 2465 gt; twin MAN 6-cylinder Diesels geared to a single shaft, 400mm x 460, 2400-bhp. Lengthened 1953: 95.71m, 3419 gt. Later *Transquebec* (1957), *Moschanthy* (1967), and *Ios* (1978). Broken up at Valetta, 1980.
Shown September 1960 at Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois, USA, while serving in Poseidon’s Great Lakes Service.
