By the time this photo was taken, the 1,400 bhp/240 rpm, five-cylinder, two-stroke, Newbury Diesel Type "P" Mk 2 main engine you worked on had (in 1975) been replaced by a 12-cylinder, four-stroke, Mirrlees-Blackstone EUSL12 of 1,500 hp at 900 rpm. Everard re-engined quite a few Newbury-powered ships in the fleet. Bob
