12-12-07 Princess Cruises 76,522 gt Sun Princess leaving Wellington for Napier on its pre-Christmas cruise.

The Sun Princess is a Sun-class cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises. Built in 1995 by the Fincantieri Shipyard at Monfalcone, Italy, the Sun Princess was not only Princess Cruises' largest ship but also the industry's biggest-ever vessel. The Sun Princess has three sister ships, Sea Princess, Dawn Princess and the former Ocean Princess (now P&O's Oceana). The Sun Princess is presently employed on 14-night cruises between Australia and New Zealand.

I am not sure if she is the biggest construction in Fincantieri Yards. I believe not. It seems maybe in 1995 was, but afterwards bigger ships were already in same industry made for Princess.
