It seems now the vessel came into collision with Norsul Recife on 8 june 2000.
I think only temporary repaires were carried out.

this photo was taked in Brazil, in port of Santos, and this vessel lost rudder control during inbound (port of Santos channel) and crash her bow in building of Fishing Terminal.

Sorry but this photo was taken in Itajaí port. I'm from Itajaí, and I loved the Grimaldi's vessels. The story that i know is that this vessel was in Rio Grande when the incident ocurred. Then, the vessel came to Itajaí, it was an scale.

I remember, that time I was 11, I passed in front of the vessel berthed and I was scared!

Since then, Grimaldi´s vessels no more made scales in Itajaí port. Very bad. :-(

As you can see in the background of the image, a big banner with HIPER in red and green wrote on it, HIPER was a big supermarket here in Itajaí.
