AMSTESTROOM as shown while on trials on the St.Lawrence River off Sorel-Tracy on December 1, 1979.
One of six Marindus-type general cargo ships ordered by Michael Karageorgis, she was launched as ARISTANDROS by Marine Industries of Sorel. The buyer having refused the ships on delivery, she was renamed MARINDUS MONTREAL and laid up while awaiting a buyer. Nedlloyd BV bought all of them, including this one which was renamed AMSTELSTROOM.
This is a rare shot of this vessel under these colors as she was renamed the following year.

Ça me rapelle mon été 1975 où j'ai travailler pour United Towing à Sorel au nettoyage du La Pallice suite à son lancement
