Description:

Another of the early container operators was Dart Container Line, which began trans-Atlantic services in 1969 - a consortium formed by Cie. Maritime Belge, Charles Hill of Bristol and Clarke Traffic Services in Canada. Chartered tonnage was initially employed followed by the introduction of 4 'Painter' class refrigerated cargo ships built by S.A. Cockerill-Ougree, Hoboken, The lead vessel was Breughel, yd # 816, launched 08:05:1963 and delivered to CMB in September that year. She and her 3 sisters were employed on the route Antwerp, Southampton to New York and Norfolk, VA.
They were 18kt vessels and had a teu of 303 (hardly a large feeder by todays standards)
In 1982 she became Treasury Alpha (PAN) - Wendover Shipping Ltd., and in 1984, Tamaki (PAN) - Aspen Maritime Inc.

Sold to Chinese breakers, she arrived Qingdao, 25:07:1985
