Nice shot, but not a passenger vessel, she was a research vessel, operated by the Academy of Sciences, Leningrad. One of the 'Akademik Kurchatov' class built by VEB Mathias-Thesen-Werft in Wismar.

I think you are correct, I suspected her as well as research vessel.
But in Lloyds she was mentioned as a passenger vessel. Maybe it happened like lots of the Russian research vessels, that she was later transfered in a passenger vessel or maybe Lloyds is wrong.
