Description:
Shot taken on: 11/09/09
Seen here on the Hobart Slips in Tasmania, Australia undergoing her annual slipping for inspection and mantanence.
I belive she is the oldest timber hulled vessel or something like that still operating in the world.
She has been working on the Derwent River in Hobart as a river freighter before becoming a dedicated passenger vessel. During her freighter days she even did some trips out into the ocean to Melbourne on Mainland Australia to get Sugar I belive for the IXL Jam factory in Hobart. There is plans to convert her from being desiel driven to going back to being steam driven.
